What Is An Article Directory?

By Scott Parker

As an affiliate marketer, it’s your job to know the marketing methods that are going to make you the big bucks.  Luckily for online entrepreneurs, marketing your business has little to no overhead costs, especially when you know what advertising methods are really going to get your affiliate’s name out there – and which methods are just going to burn a hole in your wallet.

Fortunately for affiliate marketers, there’s one marketing method that’s so simple to use, even a beginner could easily pick it up.  All you need is your computer, an hour and the ability to write a cohesive and error-free sentence.  If you’ve got these skills, then consider yourself almost there in your quest to make a bundle of money – because article directories are going to skyrocket your online business to success!

But what exactly is an article directory anyways? And how exactly can writing an article help to streamline your affiliate marketing profits?

Article directories have been around for a fair amount of years and are now the leaders in online publishing.  To use an online article directory, all one has to do is write an article according to the site’s guidelines (the rules are pretty universal, but always be sure to double-check) and submit that article to the directory.  If everything looks great, you’ll see your writing appear on the site – and this means that millions of internet users can now read your article!

That’s exactly what makes article directories so appealing to affiliate marketers.  While it’s important to fill the articles with valuable information that prospect clients would be interested in – for example, if your affiliate sells a nutritional supplement, write an article on the essential vitamins everyone needs to take – and include a link to your site at the end of the article.  If the article intrigues a reader, he or she will likely click through to your site – and you’ll be that much closer towards nabbing a profitable commission from your affiliate.  However, some sites don’t allow links to be inserted in the articles (like Ezine), so be sure to include these in your author’s box.  Otherwise, use popular sites like www.contentdragon.com to ensure that your articles are devoured by potential clients all around the world.

If you’re not exactly the strongest writer, don’t hesitate to hire a professional writer to get the job done.  After all, article directories offer a great chance for affiliate marketers to really maximize their profits without the overhead costs of advertising (something that the 9-5 world is definitely not blessed with!) and can create a loyal following of readers who will hang on your every word.  Besides, creating a loyal clientele base is part and parcel of becoming a successful affiliate marketer – and submitting articles to article directories can really help you create a strong brand!

Don’t let this great marketing opportunity pass you up, especially if you’re new to the affiliate marketing game – head to www.contentdragon.com and submit your articles to get the most exposure for your affiliate marketing business!
